RE: Let this Year Be Different!

The year 2018 is fast moving and it is quite amazing that we have done 18 days already. Time really does fly. The truth is that we all have to be super intentional about this new year or else it will end up as the last couple of years in our lives.

The question to ask is; 'How can me make this year different''? The answers are simple:

1. Do not continue to do the same things as before especially if they are not working.
2. Try new things.
3. Improve on the things that have been working before now.
4. As much as possible stick to your drawn out plans for the New Year.

We cannot continue to do the same things in life especially if these things take us nowhere near where we want to go! It is said that only a mad man continues to do the same things and yet expect a different result!  We must embrace changes this time around. We must seek to do things differently and do them well this time around and finally we must stick to our big plans for the year ahead of us so that we can birth the vision that we have for the year.

There is no better time than now to focus on the goals that we have set for ourselves in this New year! It is very easy to derail and drift but we must not allow the examples of the past that have not yielded any positive results to impede us again. We must fight that spirit that wants to make us make the same mistakes of the past. We must learn from our past mistakes and refuse to make the same mistakes time and time again.

On a personal note I have noticed in the past couple of years that at the beginning of every new year i would write down lofty goals to achieve in the course of every new year but by March of that same year I would have completely forgotten about my big goals for the year and I will tend to just drift with the times and allow life happen to me.  This year is going to be different for me. I will intentionaly keep my 2018 year goals in front of me and will remain committed to achieving them weekly no matter how distracted I get.

There are other things that we must watch to ensure that we make this year different and as we continue in the fulfillment of our goals, dreams and aspirations for 2018 we must be intentional in all that we do to ensure that the year does not run the way of all other past years. We must be committed to making sure that this year is not only different but it is satisfying, amazing and fantastic as we have prayed, imagined and believed.

The ball is now in our courts. Let us work hard to make this happen!
