3 Sets of People deserve some #ACCOLADES!

Nigeria is an amazing place to live in. Amazing, amazing amazing! Some weeks back on instagram I stumbled on a video of a guy asking for some accolades.   I wondered where the idea came from, subsequently all kinds of videos began to spring up with everyone on the video asking for their accolades! Each time I saw the video it made me laugh but there is a lot of truth in the clips I saw because we all deserve some accolades!

There are 3 sets of people who deserve some accolades in life.   The number one person is our God, the Creator of the heavens and the earth! He daily deserves some accolades. Imagine the work He has to do continuously for us his children and even for unbelievers.  Imagine watching over billions of people daily, ensuring that our prayers are answered or some of them. Keeping the devil far away from us and making sure that we are learning, growing and blossoming by the experiences we daily face. God Almighty deserves some accolade!

The second person that deserves some accolade is you and I. We deserve some accolades. We have gone through hell and high water, we have fought with beasts and demons and won our fights. We have stars, stripes and scars to show for our fight. We deserve some accolades.  You deserve some accolades. I deserve some accolades. If nobody gives me my accolades I will take it by myself because I have paid my dues. I am worldwide, I am global now. I deserve some accolades.

Finally the 3^rd category of person that deserves some accolades is everyone else out there. Our neighbours deserve some accolades. The bread seller deserves some accolade, the meat seller deserves some accolades. The doctor, the drummer, the singer, the poet, the carpenter, everybody on God’s earth working, thinking, toiling, praying, trusting and plain living around us deserves some accolades. They have all paid their dues and they deserve some accolades!

Living in Nigeria and being able to surmount all of our daily struggles and troubles is enough for us to all deserve some accolades. We have paid our dues, we are global now, we are worldwide. We all deserve some accolades.

Remember the morale of this write up is to kudos everyone you meet because everyone has paid their dues and no matter how low placed they are in life they deserve some accolades.

Remember God deserves some accolades, you and I deserve some the rest of them out there toiling, striving, winning and living all deserve some accolades!

SEE ENDLESS POSSIBILITIES DESPITE THE CHALLENGES!

The times that we are living in are challenging, difficult but exciting. We are living in amazing times.

There is no doubt that there are challenges and difficulties and there is no doubt that we are also in exciting and powerful times.   It is a paradox of sorts.  It is up to us to turn our challenges and difficulties around and instead see endless possibilities.

It is easy to despair at such times but instead of despairing let us learn to be strong and to be tougher than our present challenges because Robert Schuller the writer of the book ‘Tough times don’t last but tough people do’ has summed it all up nicely. Tough times never.  These times come and they go. We will all come through these times tougher, stronger, wiser, smarter, richer, better and greater.

It is important to resolve in our minds never to despair or let our present challenges and difficulties overwhelm us. We must determine to win in the battle of life no matter what comes our way.   We must determine to overcome every odd and surmount every pressure, difficult and trial.

We must train our hearts and minds to be strong in the face of prevailing challenges. We must not give into fear or hopelessness. We must rise up to the challenge and determine to conquer every terrain by the special grace of God Almighty.

We must focus on the endless possibilities that pervade our present situation and circumstances. We must see solutions constantly while others see problems.   We must see a way out of every difficulty and never ever slump into depression.

We must be prepared do more, be more and achieve more no matter the difficulties and challenges that we face. We must never quit striving, reaching and achieving.

We must constantly see not just possibilities but rather endless possibilities. Our hearts and minds must see the invisible when others see impossibles.  We must never take no for an answer in life. We must hope for a greater and a better today and tomorrow. We must forget about yesterday with its victories and its failures and face today headlong with determination, dedication, discipline and a great energy, zest, zeal and grit.

Failure is not an option. We must refuse to see closed doors, but rather open doors, an array of yes and favourable outcomes time and time again. Perhaps you have been disappointed in the past do not fret or worry, today portends a better day to believe again, try again and hope again.

It is not over until we win!

RE: Stand despite every opposition

Life is fraught with all kinds of oppositions and it is our duty to stand against them all without wavering or falling apart.

I know sometimes we wonder why it seems our difficulties will not end. The truth is that we sometimes go through difficulties and sometimes too it might just be that God wants to test our hearts and minds to see exactly what stuff we are made of.

Last year December the LORD GOD told me that I had entered a new dawn. A new dawn is a new season, a new chapter and a new phase of life different from the old one. I completely believed this great word knowing fully well that God cannot lie.

The enemy of my soul has fought this word like there was no tomorrow. I experiences glimpses of this new life but sometimes I also still experience the pain and trauma of my old life.

I know that the devil is fighting a lost battle. I know that I am a winner and a victor in this life. I know that the Word of God is Yes and Amen and nothing can be added or anything taken away from it.

I know that I am at the verge of a huge breakthrough or rather at the verge of many huge breakthroughs and I also know that this is why the devil is raging. It is a last minute rage to stop my joy but nothing and no one can steal my joy because my joy 100 percent belongs to me and me alone.

Perhaps you are going through some peculiar challenges that you know God Almighty has already dealt with but that is still fighting to stay, this is the time to withstand the devil and to stand your ground because the battle is the LORD'S always.

Refuse to surrender, refuse to quit, refuse to give up or give in to fear and worry. Stay happy, expectant and full of faith and power because you are a victor and not a victim in this life.

Stay the course because you are near your breakthrough! Troubles do not last always and it is darkest before dawn. Your are a minute away from breakthrough. Do not despair. Do not throw in the towel. Be still and know that God is truly God! Choose to praise and pray your way through the dark cloud.

We are winners. We are champions. We are overcomers in this life. We are more than conquerors through Christ who strengthens us. We cannot be stopped. We cannot be quenched. We cannot be beaten down. We cannot be fazed.

Choose to stand despite every difficulty, oppositions and troubles. Our success is guaranteed in Christ Jesus!

12 REASONS WHY PRESIDENT BUHARI MUST NOT RUN IN 2019!

I am not a card carrying member of any political party in Nigeria.  I am not a politician. I am a creative writer, creative entrepreneur who has lived in Nigeria for over 40 years and more.

I am a fortunate Nigerian but have suffered greatly from bad leadership in the last 40 years or more.

I feel  the pain of the average or common Nigerian though I am fortunate to have escaped the poverty line as a Nigerian.

Nobody pays me to write. I write as I feel and have paid my dues as a writer having written for free for the last 8 years or so on social media platforms.

I do not hate President Buhari neither do I love or like him. I am neutral when it comes to him but I am convinced that we do not need President Buhari  in the seat of government for the next 4 years after the end of his 1^st term.

There is no doubt that President Buhari  has  tried his best but for me and many Nigerians his best is below par as he has scored less than 40 per cent in his first term bid. We need  a more competent, agile and decisive leader in the saddle of government come 2019.

This is why I have sat down to think of 12 reasons why President Buhari must not run for presidency in 2019 or better still why Nigerians must not vote for him for a 2^nd term!  

These are my 12 reasons why President Buhari must not run in 2019.

1.     He is too old to run.

2.     He did not keep his election promises in the last 4 years.

3.     He did not fight corruption headlong.

4.     Nigeria needs a younger, stronger, more dynamic and agile leader in 2019.

5.     President Buhari needs to go back to Daura and rest in 2019.

6.     Nigeria and Nigerians deserve better than President Buhari come 2019.

7.     Majority of Nigerians are unhappy with his government. There is more hunger, disunity and dissatisfaction in Nigeria now than in the past.

8.     President Buhari is not the best man for the job in 2019.

9.     Nigeria needs a technologically savvy President going forward who understands trends, technology and who can deploy technology to better the lot of Nigerians in Nigeria, presently President Buhari scores low in this regard because of the age disadvantage.

10.                        Since President Buhari took over there has been more disunity, killings and problems of the dare devil herdsmen killing over 2000 persons under his watch. This is unacceptable and we need a president who is decisive, caring and who places premium on the lives of every Nigerian regardless of tribe or gender or religion.

111.                        Nigerians must get rid of the so called recycled leaders who have governed us in the last 50 years and replace them with a crop of leaders without greed who are willing to lay down their lives to serve Nigeria and Nigerians. Unfortunately President Buhari is one of these crop of recycled leaders who have refused to leave our politics alone for the past 4 decades.

112.                        We cannot trust the APC neither can we trust the PDP any longer. Both of them have failed us and we need a new party to lead us to the promised  land. President Buhari belongs to the APC and so he too can no longer be trusted to deliver Nigeria and Nigerians from the hands of corruption, nepotism and bad governance that presently pervades our political landscape.

RE: Live INTENtionally.

This week choose to live intentionally. Live strategically. Do not just exist, LIVE!

Live purposefully, prayerfully and powerfully. Be intentional. Be deliberate about every move and every action.

Living intentionally is a very powerful way of living because it releases to your great rewards because you are living a life of purpose and power and not by default.

Live by design. Set goals. Accomplish those goals and move closer to your desired destiny.

This is a great time for you to revisit your set out goals for 2018. This is a great time to look at them one by one and tackle them all headlong.

Remember there are no more limits. You determine how far you want to go.  You determine how to reach your goals and who exactly is needed in this journey of destiny.

Do not allow your life to just happen. Control what you can control and live a life of power and focus. Be very clear about what you want to achieve every day, every week, every month and every year and do not allow procrastination, distractions, disappointments stop you on your journey.

Live intentionally, powerfully and purposefully!

Remember you can do this and you must do this. Failure is not an option. It is success only that is acceptable! Take the lead! Thrive. Excel. Succeed.

RE: NO MORE EXCUSES!

We are in the season of No EXCUSES! The time for that is forever gone in our lives because lif is short and it is time to do even if we make mistakes and fail at least it will be said that we tried.  It is often said that failure is not a destination neither is it fatal.

We must cultivate the mindset of No more excuses it is time to redeem the times because the days are evil. We have wasted precious time for too long. We have procrastinated for too long and we have delayed for too long. It is time to just do it!

Yes you heard me, it is time to do whatever must be done and get on with the business of living, striving and achieving. We were born to conquer in life. We were born to soar and to shine and there is no greater time to do the things that we were born than now!

This month's monthly motivation is aptly themed No more Excuses because we have done that for just too long and it is time to stop this behaviour and become proactive, and productive in life.

The question to ask is that why do we delay? Why do we procrastinate and why do we give excuses in life? A lot of the times we do these things because we are afraid to fail or we are afraid of success or we are just plain lazy!

We do not have the luxury of time any longer because like I always say only today is promised because only today is guaranteed only God Almighty knows tomorrow so let us be quick to do whatever it is that we have determined to do and do it excellently too.

A typical example is myself. I have delayed working on my songs for so many years that it is no longer acceptable to continue to do this. I just must work at it and make it happen this year! I write great songs and have a great voice and the only thing stopping me from doing the next big thing is laziness, procrastination and fear of failure or fear of success. It is time for me to take the bull by the horn and make this work in my life and my simple admonition to you too is to get and get on with it.

Time is no longer a friend and there is no better time than now to take action! NO MORE EXCUSES! JUST DO IT!
