YEAR 2010-WELCOME TO FLOURISHING!
The year 2010 is a year of FLOURISHING as emphasized in the book of Psalm 1.
The book of Psalm chapter 1 admonishes us NOT TO:
1. Walk in the counsel of the ungodly.
2. Stand in the way of sinners
3. Sit in the seat of the scornful.
We are rather to “DELIGHT” in the law of the LORD!
The Word of God promises that we shall be like a “TREE PLANTED by the rivers of water, and we shall bring forth our fruit in our season! Our leaves shall not wither; and whatsoever we do shall prosper.
What does it mean to flourish?
According to the Webster Universal dictionary & thesaurus, it means;
Grow, thrive, boast, bluster, brag, show off, flaunt, swing, parade, show, grandiloquence. For the sake of our understanding of this word; to flourish, let us choose to focus on the word, “THRIVE”!
In 2010 we will “THRIVE”! Everything we do will blossom, shine and expand for good.
There is a condition attached to our flourishing, we must not walk in the counsel of the ungodly this means that we must avoid ungodly people and not be led by their counsel. The Word of God says can two walk together except they be agreed. We have to choose our friends wisely in 2010, and severe relationships we know will lead us away from God.
Secondly we must not stand with sinners. We must live the talk and talk the walk.
Increasingly God will make our works clear and we shall ultimately reap what we sow, so if you desire to reap good, do not sow evil.
Do not sit with the scornful. We must ensure that we choose who we hang out with, sit with and take counsel from.
God promises flourishing, growth and prosperity.
For those who are already established expect double. And for those who lost before expect restoration.
God will show us his power on our behalf and He will manifest greatly upon our lives his grace.
God will grant us grace and glory and we will enjoy new levels of peace, power, promotions , prosperity and pleasures.
God will reward us and show us off as His trophies.
2010 will be a year of great glory. We will shine as STARS, and we must continually represent God as worthy ambassadors of his grace and His kingdom. Do not sit on the fence for God cannot be mocked whatsoever a man sows that will he also reap.
In 2010 expect God’s double in everything. It is also a year of restoration for those who have been waiting for God for a return and a release of lost opportunities and glory.
Like Job our latter end will be greater than the former and men everywhere will come and celebrate God’s grace and goodness upon our lives .
It’s a year of great expansion too. The capacity to increase, multiply has already been sown and 2010 will bring this capacity to play as everything you dreamed of achieving will be made possible by the grace of God. Go out and do the seemingly impossible. Whatever you could not do before now, begin to do them. The grace to accomplish has been released all you need to do now is simply, believe and take action.
Do not procrastinate any longer. Act decisively and quickly, and you will see miracles!
2010 will separate the boys from the men. Let God be your alpha and omega, let his will alone prevail in your life. Always do good and expect only the best whilst remaining always grateful and thankful.
In 2010 set goals beyond your ability and focus on accomplishing them.
Be courageous and consistent in achieving your goals. Keep wise company. Remain humble and do not allow pride and arrogance overtake you.
Pray continually and be a true worshipper of God.
Your motto for 2010 should be “WITH GOD I CAN”!
Seize the moment.
Secure the future!

RE: TEN WAYS TO HAVE A WONDERFUL CHRISTMAS!
Ten Ways to have A Wonderful Christmas!
1. Imbibe the Giver’s spirit, have a giving heart. Give gifts to all your friends, families and colleagues at work.
2. Visit loved ones during this period, it’s a time for social visits
3. Visit orphanages and reach out to the poor, homeless and forgotten in the society.
4. Forgive all those that hurt you during the course of the year, forgive, let go and actually spend time praying for your offenders, ask God to forgive you too your trespasses. Open a clean slate and carry a pure heart in readiness for the new year just round the corner.
5. Send Christmas Wishes through emails, text messages, to your friends outside Nigeria, take out time to write the sweetest words because most Nigerians in the Diaspora sometimes have a nasty Christmas because of the cold and some can be lonely and miserable, so your words will become a soothing balm for their spirits and their souls. Remember the song, “Reach out and touch, somebody’s hand, make this world a better place if you can”
6. If you are married spend quality time planning a “WOW” time with your family. Buy your partner a gift that will amaze and daze them. Go the extra mile to find that special gift that will speak for your love to them. God did not just speak of His love for humanity, He proved and showed it, by sending JESUS CHRIST, to die for us. Jesus Christ is the reason Christmas! Do not just claim to love your wife or husband this Christmas, SHOW IT! Do not forget to do the same for your children too.
7. If you are single in a relationship do the same thing, show love, express your love, write something wonderful, frame it, write a love poem and be creative about your love, plan a surprise dinner with his friends, and surprise him. Buy him/her a gift that will show exactly what you feel. Don’t just love! Say it! Act it! Show it! Now more than ever.
8. If you are single and have no love in your life at the moment, take heart and do not despair. Love God! Love yourself! Love others! During this time let your heart and life be driven by LOVE! Visit a hospital, especially the children’s ward, and buy gifts for the sick child. Before you go spend time praying to God Almighty for their healing and recovery and as you spend money buying and wrapping the gift pray that your gift will be a love gift, that will bring healing and change in their lives.
9. Remember to buy your “Man of God a gift this Christmas! They labour over us in their prayers and supplications to God to keep us and prosper us throughout the year, it is time to show them some love, and gratitude for their love and effort towards our spiritual well being.
10. Have a PARTY, celebrate life with friends and loved ones, a big wonderfully planned party! Let down your hair, have a blast! Rejoice that you are alive, well and sane! Let this Christmas be different, special, unique, and wonderful.

LESSONS FROM TIGER’S TROUBLES!
We have been inundated with the news of Tiger’s Troubles since he had the accident some weeks ago when he hit a hydrant and smashed his car into a tree near his home. I remember the breaking of the news, the flurry and the buzz that his accident caused, everyone was curious to know why Tiger Woods the world’s most celebrated sports man would drive his car into a tree just a few minutes away from his home, it was just an incredible story, but within the story lay more intriguing and damaging stories. The stories gradually unfolded as we began to hear of Tiger’s Temptations and Tiger’s sins.
That is the background of this piece that I have aptly titled “Lessons From Tiger’s Troubles”! I remember a man of God, Dr Myles Munroe at a function in lagos Nigeria predicting that in 2009! Everything that could be shaken would be shaken! How prophetic he was in his predictions of the year for 2009 will go down as one of the most traumatic years in history!
Everything that can be shaken has been shaken, is it with the global recession, or the death of MJ and the unforgettable banking saga that rocked Nigeria my beloved country.
As I look back at the year I begin to ponder on the Troubles of Tiger Wood, and of course the traumas of Elin his wife! Tiger literally had the world at his feet but at the moment he must be holding on to dear life, because one minute life’s good and the next day, all hell breaks loose and as a person that is quick to learn life’s lessons I ponder at the lessons to be learnt with the Wood’s saga!
As you read further in this piece you will find some of the lessons that we must all learn from Tiger’s Troubles, because life is a school of unending lessons. To grow and get better we must continually learn from our own mistakes and from the mistakes of others.
1. Only God is perfect. Only God can sit on his high horse and remain God.
2. It is important that we do not carry on in life with a very high mien and assume that we are who we are because of our good looks, strengths, capacities and abilities. All that we are and that we can accomplish and achieve is the work of grace which is God’s No 1 gift to humanity, think of it?
Who gives us our very lives?
Who gives us breath?
Who gives us strength?
Who gives us health?
Who gives us favour?
Who gives our intelligence?
Who gives us direction?
Who gives us power?
Who gives us wealth?
Who gives us good looks?
Who gives us fame?
Who gives us wisdom?
This is why we must be very careful in life not to assume that we are products of our own hard work, self discipline and ability! It’s the greatest fallacy in life to think you are who you are by your work alone?
I am writing this piece because my heart goes out to Tiger and his entire household! In life we are prone to temptations because we are human beings! We are frail and can only carry on alone by God’s grace!
3. Thirdly we all have enemies, and sometimes we are our own worst enemies, We put up great fronts, wear massive masks and carry on though we are untouchable and impenetrable? The truth is that our very strengths and our very foundations come from God. We are nothing outside of God Almighty.
So for me it is a great lesson to learn the depths of our frailties as human beings. Yes frailties ! We are products of the earth, what beautifies our lives as human beings is the breath and the grace of God! So in life the earlier we learn to recognize our frailties and accept God’s divine grace to help us on the race of life. I am no saint! I have done my own share of failing and falling too but I have come to know and recognize that outside of God “I am nothing”! So I choose to quickly retrace my steps to my God and maker and surrender my life to God to lead and to help me.
4. Life is a STAGE! Yes a stage where every man must play his part and one day return to our Maker to tell the story of how we made it through. I am not a judge because I am not Tiger’s Creator but every time something happens around me I quickly choose to see the lessons and learn from them so that my life and the lives of those around me can benefit.
5. Everything is possible! Whoever thought a black man would become the president of America and occupy the White House in our time and generation? Whoever believed that Michael Jackson would die at only 50? Whoever believed that the Berlin Wall would crumble and the cold war would end? Whoever thought the world would witness so much technological changes that the whole world would suddenly become a global village? Who ever thought, that Tiger would lose the support of all his sponsors in just a few weeks because of infidelity? Whoever thought? Who knows what next?
My real reason for writing this piece is to solicit your prayers for Tiger and his household? You might wonder why pray for Tiger? Why not? I ask?
Jesus Christ while dealing with the adulterous woman who was caught in the very act of adultery told her haters and those that condemned her to cast the first stone for stoning to death was the penalty for this sin! One by one they all walked away, because they all had sinned And no one could cast any stone so every one of her condemners just all simply walked away.
Well the same goes for Tiger, I am not saying infidelity is acceptable or even pardonable! I cannot judge Tiger because I am equally a sinner, only free because of the finished work of Jesus. Only God can judge his own creation, and Tiger Woods is one of God’s creations, that is why we must pray for him and his entire household at this time of trial and trouble. So I am throwing away my stone, I am walking back to my own space and minding my own business but I am purposed on doing one thing and one thing alone, I am committed to spending time praying for Tiger and Elin that this trouble will not destroy their union and that this trouble will make better people of this couple!
6. To err is human to forgive is divine! We must all forgive ourselves for our errors and our mistakes and learn to forgive others too. God is love and his heart is that all men be saved and come to the knowledge of his grace! Let’s find it in our hearts to forgive especially people that have hurt us and this is why we plead with Tiger’s wife to forgive the erring Tiger and love deeper and give even the more at a time when all she feels to do is to tear down and break up.
7. It is a sad day for Tiger but it is also a great day! How can sadness birth greatness, well adversity helps you see clearly because God allows you see who you really are and when you know yourself then you become a master of trouble! Adversity also helps you know your real friends because when all is well you do not know who really and truly loves you for you not just because you are the greatest man or woman in the world. Success they say has many cousins but in the day of trouble only the strong and the beloved can stand with you. So rejoice Tiger because life is clearer and your purpose hopefully will be even more defined because if you can weather adversity, then you are really and truly a MAN!
8. Finally Tigers Troubles and travails shows that we must only build our hopes and dreams on the solid rock! “On the SOLID ROCK I STAND! All other ground is SINKING SAND”! Today most of the companies that before now endorsed Tiger have backed down, how quickly they go! That is the lesson of life! Suddenly Tiger is no longer the premium brand? No longer the greatest golfer and sports man in the world? Ha! Life can be cruel sometimes so if we desire to build or rebuild let’s build our lives, our professions and our family around GOD through the grace of our Lord and Saviour Jesus Christ! Only God will stand in the day of trouble and statistics show that every one has the potential to walk away in the day of trouble because trouble comes to us all! That is why I am never ashamed of the gospel of our Lord Jesus Christ, as they say I am a diehard JESUS follower because I am CERTAIN of His love and commitment for me! JESUS CHRIST is the SOLID ROCK we can build upon! He is the SURE FOUNDATION! He is the anchor for our souls!
9. Life is Seasonal. Seasons come and seasons go! We must realize the seasons that we are continually! There are up seasons and down seasons! It’s important that we learn to manage every season! Like Joseph in Egypt, when there was plenty in the land, he saved for the days of drought! Know what season you are in and do not mismanage your seasons? Is it planting time? Is it harvest time? What season are you in? We will reap whatever we sow so it is important to realize that seedtime and harvest time will not cease so long as the earth remains!
10. Finally people can make or mar us, we must be careful the companies we keep! Choose your business associates and circle of friends wisely. He who moves with the wise, will become wise and a company of fools is trouble. Do not despise the WORD OF GOD! God is not mocked whatever a man sows that too will he reap! Keep godly and wise company they help you keep your soundness and secure your future!
Let’s pray for ourselves that God will continue to help us, grace us, keep us and defend our cause!
I remembered when Whitney Houston went through her travails, I choose to pray and today she is out of the woods and back on her feet, again it is time to pray for one of God’s great creations!
Let’s pray for Tiger and Elin that God will help them overcome these times and use them both for the good of his Kingdom! Do you say Amen? Or do I hear why should I? God will do His will and purpose in all our lives.

So in life the earlier we learn to recognize our frailties and accept God’s divine grace to help us on the race of life. I am no saint! I have done my own share of failing and falling too but I have come to know and recognize that outside of God “I am nothing”! So I choose to quickly retrace my steps to my God and maker and surrender my life to God to lead and to help me.
4. Life is a STAGE! Yes a stage where every man must play his part and one day return to our Maker to tell the story of how we made it through. I am not a judge because I am not Tiger’s Creator but every time something happens around me I quickly choose to see the lessons and learn from them so that my life and the lives of those around me can benefit.
5. Everything is possible! Whoever thought a black man would become the president of America and occupy the White House in our time and generation? Whoever believed that Michael Jackson would die at only 50? Whoever believed that the Berlin Wall would crumble and the cold war would end? Whoever thought the world would witness so much technological changes that the whole world would suddenly become a global village? Who ever thought, that Tiger would lose the support of all his sponsors in just a few weeks because of infidelity? Whoever thought? Who knows what next?
My real reason for writing this piece is to solicit your prayers for Tiger and his household? You might wonder why pray for Tiger? Why not? I ask?
Jesus Christ while dealing with the adulterous woman who was caught in the very act of adultery told her haters and those that condemned her to cast the first stone for stoning to death was the penalty for this sin! One by one they all walked away, because they all had sinned And no one could cast any stone so every one of her condemners just all simply walked away.
Well the same goes for Tiger, I am not saying infidelity is acceptable or even pardonable! I cannot judge Tiger because I am equally a sinner, only free because of the finished work of Jesus. Only God can judge his own creation, and Tiger Woods is one of God’s creations, that is why we must pray for him and his entire household at this time of trial and trouble. So I am throwing away my stone, I am walking back to my own space and minding my own business but I am purposed on doing one thing and one thing alone, I am committed to spending time praying for Tiger and Elin that this trouble will not destroy their union and that this trouble will make better people of this couple!
6. To err is human to forgive is divine! We must all forgive ourselves for our errors and our mistakes and learn to forgive others too. God is love and his heart is that all men be saved and come to the knowledge of his grace! Let’s find it in our hearts to forgive especially people that have hurt us and this is why we plead with Tiger’s wife to forgive the erring Tiger and love deeper and give even the more at a time when all she feels to do is to tear down and break up.
7. It is a sad day for Tiger but it is also a great day! How can sadness birth greatness, well adversity helps you see clearly because God allows you see who you really are and when you know yourself then you become a master of trouble! Adversity also helps you know your real friends because when all is well you do not know who really and truly loves you for you not just because you are the greatest man or woman in the world. Success they say has many cousins but in the day of trouble only the strong and the beloved can stand with you. So rejoice Tiger because life is clearer and your purpose hopefully will be even more defined because if you can weather adversity, then you are really and truly a MAN!
8. Finally Tigers Troubles and travails shows that we must only build our hopes and dreams on the solid rock! “On the SOLID ROCK I STAND! All other ground is SINKING SAND”! Today most of the companies that before now endorsed Tiger have backed down, how quickly they go! That is the lesson of life! Suddenly Tiger is no longer the premium brand? No longer the greatest golfer and sports man in the world? Ha! Life can be cruel sometimes so if we desire to build or rebuild let’s build our lives, our professions and our family around GOD through the grace of our Lord and Saviour Jesus Christ! Only God will stand in the day of trouble and statistics show that every one has the potential to walk away in the day of trouble because trouble comes to us all! That is why I am never ashamed of the gospel of our Lord Jesus Christ, as they say I am a diehard JESUS follower because I am CERTAIN of His love and commitment for me! JESUS CHRIST is the SOLID ROCK we can build upon! He is the SURE FOUNDATION! He is the anchor for our souls!
9. Life is Seasonal. Seasons come and seasons go! We must realize the seasons that we are continually! There are up seasons and down seasons! It’s important that we learn to manage every season! Like Joseph in Egypt, when there was plenty in the land, he saved for the days of drought! Know what season you are in and do not mismanage your seasons? Is it planting time? Is it harvest time? What season are you in? We will reap whatever we sow so it is important to realize that seedtime and harvest time will not cease so long as the earth remains!
10. Finally people can make or mar us, we must be careful the companies we keep! Choose your business associates and circle of friends wisely. He who moves with the wise, will become wise and a company of fools is trouble. Do not despise the WORD OF GOD! God is not mocked whatever a man sows that too will he reap! Keep godly and wise company they help you keep your soundness and secure your future!
Let’s pray for ourselves that God will continue to help us, grace us, keep us and defend our cause!
I remembered when Whitney Houston went through her travails, I choose to pray and today she is out of the woods and back on her feet, again it is time to pray for one of God’s great creations!
Let’s pray for Tiger and Elin that God will help them overcome these times and use them both for the good of his Kingdom! Do you say Amen? Or do I hear why should I? God will do His will and purpose in all our lives.

GET READY FOR 2010!
You have more to be grateful for than to complain about!
You have two eyes that see.
You have two legs that walk.
You have two hands that clap and do so many other things to make life more wonderful for you.
You have two ears that hear, and hear well.
You have one great head that functions well to bring you thus far in your journey of life.
You have an amazing brain that has helped you piece together the puzzle called life.
You have more going for you than anything to complain about.
So you have lots of unaccomplished goals, and many unpaid bills? Perhaps it’s been an extremely difficult and challenging year and you feel angry, sad and depressed?
The Bible says there is a time for everything!
A time to cry, and a time to laugh!
A time to live and time to die!
A time to embrace, and a time to refrain from embracing!
A time to cast away stones and a time to gather!
The moral of this truth is the need to know what time it is? There is a time for everything under the sun! This is the time to:
Be grateful and thankful that you are alive, well, sane and sound.
Be grateful that you recorded no loss, no one died amongst you and you did not fall prey to cancer or some horrible disturbing disease whose only agenda is to terminate!
Be thankful that you did not lose your job, your house or was involved in declaring bankruptcy as a result of the recession or depression depending on what part of the world you are in.
Be grateful that 2009 did not become your death year, imagine the many that lost their lives in 2009! Michael Jackson who tops the list of deaths in this year has others not so known scattered all over the world, some died young, others died old and fulfilled but they still died, I am not gloating at being alive but it sure helps to be able to look back and see the grace and goodness of God in keeping and delivering you from the many myriads of troubles, trials and tragedies that took place in 2009.
Ask yourself this candid question, what exactly are you unhappy about? It’s not the time to complain!
It’s not the right time to moan and groan at all! It’s a time for a balanced reflection because it could have been worse!
Are we better than those that died of one ailment or the other? Lets realize that the love, goodness and faithfulness of God has kept us, preserved and protected us throughout 2009! We are products of God’s love! So let’s CELEBRATE! CELEBRATE!! CELEBRATE!!!
It’s time to celebrate!
It’s time to dance and sing rejoicing all the way forward!
Thank God for life!
Thank God for family!
Thank God for friends and well wishers!
Thank God for yesterday, today and for tomorrow!
Thank God for hopes, dreams and aspirations!
Thank God for all the latest technologies that helps make life and living better!
Thank God for the grace of a new beginning, a new chance to start all over again!
Let’s rejoice exceedingly and be glad!
Our lives have been preserved, our sanities upheld and our joys full.
Let nothing, no one steal your joy or dampen your spirit, because you deserve to be happy, and very happy too!
The questions to ask now are, what must I work on? Where can I make adjustments? Which relationships must I improve upon and which ones must I severe? What is the way forward?
We cannot change yesterday, we can only plan today for tomorrow while living our best lives today!
So roll out the drums! Sing a new song! Do that new dance! It’s a new dawn! It’s a new day!
God’s plans for you are for good and not for disaster to give you a future and a hope.
Remember that your future is bright!
Remember that your best days are yet ahead of you.
Remember that your greatest stories are yet unfolding and your life will only get better and better and better!
So get your CHEER on, and remember that is the season of loving, giving and sharing with others.
Do good without expecting anything in return knowing that God is the rewarder.
Do not become bitter but be better.
Do not allow frustrations, limitations and stagnation, rather rise above all your frustrations, and be the best that you can be.
Think creatively and ask intelligent questions this will free your mind and help unleash God’s best upon your life.
What must you change now to get a better life tomorrow? What can you contribute? What good can you do and what value can you bring to the table of life?
As you ask these questions and answer them you bring a breath of fresh grace upon your life. There is a need to put the past behind you and resolve to forge forward with all the zest and zeal that you can muster. Life is for the prepared, not for the tired!
So put yesterday behind and celebrate today whilst planning for tomorrow! Tomorrow is knocking and it is just a few hours ahead, yes a new day is about to birth and it is brand new and fresh, exciting and edgy, it is called 2010! Even the sound alone is gratifying 1 2010!
What are your plans for 2010? What are your dreams for this great year! What are your hopes and aspirations? Whatever they are they are achievable! Doable and realizable!
Remember if OBAMA can you too CAN!
Remember you are too blessed to be distressed or stressed!

Take Responsibility! Take Charge!
As human beings we are purely responsible for our lives. We must be in Charge at all times!
We must not relinquish responsibility to another regardless of our situation or circumstance especially if you are a bonafide adult. Sometimes it looks as though someone is the cause of all troubles, perhaps it’s our sister, brother, father or best friend or perhaps it’s the wicked boss in the office?
The truth of the matter is its NOBODY! We cannot lay the blame of our lives not working or not panning together at the feet of another. I am not saying we do not have enemies and plenty of adversaries but regardless of the opposition we face and will yet face we must not allow the devices, tricks evil imaginations and machinations of other people determine our journey in life.
There will always be challenges, problems will always abound but they come to strengthen and empower us for our reign, for the greater the test the greater the testimony.
So it’s important that we realize that our lives are our RESPONSIBILITY! We must take responsibility for the good, the bad and the ugly that happens in our lives and not just about the good alone.
When we realize that our lives are in our hands then we will work hard at ensuring it works! The only one who can directly affect our lives is GOD! God alone should be given the power, influence and the charge over our lives.
We should relinquish control of our lives to God because we are sure of:
God’s Love
God Care
God’s Support
God’s Guidance.
God’s Plans.
We do this with the knowledge that is a joint venture partnership that is bound to succeed, because one with God is a majority and if God be for us who can be against us?
Essentially the essence of this piece is for us to weigh and realize the magnitude of the great responsibility that we carry by taking control and charge of the reigns of our lives.
We must by the help of God decide:
Who we are?
Where we are going?
How we intend to get there?
It’s the greatest and most important questions we can ask and answer to live a successful and fulfilling life on earth.
Who we are is the question of identity. While where we are going is that of direction and focus!
How we get to our various destinations answers the question of strategy!
It’s important that we answer these questions in order that we do not look back and regret the actions we took or did not take at the end of our lives, God forbid that we have regrets at the end of our lives.
Who are you? Who defines who you are?
Does our past define us?
Does our occupation define us?
Does our family define us?
Does our present situation, challenges define us?
Does society define us?
Who defines who we are?
Who should define us?
Are we defined by the colour of skin or by the colour of our eyes?
Does our accent define who we are?
Who are you?
Who you are depicts what you can do! Yes who you are defines your essence.
Its imperative that we take the lead, and take time to define and redefine who we want to be rather than allow others put their definitions upon us.
I am many things to many people at different times for different reasons and for different purposes but at the end of the day only the CREATOR knows the real you. He alone can truly best define you because He made you, created you, and molded and shaped you even in your mother’s womb.
The question of identity and purpose is what helps us to have a concise and clear realization of the true visions of our lives.
If you do not know who you are then life will remould you. Take for an example an eagle bird that was born amongst chickens and left to brood with the pack for too long, after sometime the law of association sets in, and pretty soon the eagle bird begins to behave like a mere chicken. So it is with our lives, if we do not quickly realize who we are we, the environment, and our associations begin to reshape and remake us? So a prince begins to act like a commoner and God forbid like a criminal.
This is why it is important that we do ourselves one of lives biggest favours by defining who we are?
Do not let your circumstances, your past, your present, your limitations, your conditions your status, your name, your country, your people, your gender, your tribe, your church, your accent, define you.
Do not take on labels put on you by people. Do not accept unacceptable togas and discomfiting titles.
Come to terms with your heritage, and realize who you are and what you can do!
Why be a chicken when you can be an eagle?
Why be a goat when you can be a horse?
Why be tortoise when you can be lion?
Why be a dog when you can be an elephant?
Why be a follower when you can be a leader?
Why be small when you can be great?
Why die when you can live?
Why be single when you can be happily married with children?
Why be lonely, sad and depressed when you can be lovely, happy, satisfied and fulfilled?
Why stay small, limited and clueless when you can be great, incredible and enlightened?
Why settle for less when you can have the best?
Why be ordinary, when you can be sensational and dazzling?
Why complain, when you have the potential to lead, innovate and motivate millions.
Why be down and out, when you can be up and about soaring, reaching and achieving?
Why follow the brood, when you can blaze a trail and chart a new order?
Why merely survive when you can champion a cause, create a new world order.
Why allow status quo when you can change the world and make history.
Why be a, nobody when you can be an OBAMA?
Why be local, when you can be international?
Why be unknown, unsung, when you can be a hero, a superstar and a genius?
In order to leave a definite legacy we must all answer these 3 basic fundamental questions at one point or the other in our lives!
Now is the time, today is the day to answer these questions, of:
Who we are?
Where we are going?
How to get there?
When we answer these 3 important questions then we know without a shadow of a doubt that we are in control and in charge of our lives and that the only other person that can influence and impact our lives is our Creator and our God.
As the year draws to a close we must begin to take stock. We must decide that the coming year we would be more:
ORGANISED!
CREATIVE!
INNOVATIVE!
DECISIVE!
COMPOSED!
FOCUSED!
DETERMINED!
PURPOSEFUL!
CONSTRUCTIVE!
DOGGED!
PRODUCTIVE!
PROACTIVE!
It’s possible!
It’s achievable!!
Lets’ go forward!

FEAR NOT! U ARE VALUABLE!
FEAR NOT! You are VALUABLE!
There is no need to ever fear! Yes fear will come but you must resolve to never ever fear fear!
Never fear situations, circumstances, people or places. God admonishes us not to fear.
There are more than 365 “Do not fear scattered all over the Word of God, so a “Fear NOT for everyday has been provided.
We fear many things.
We fear yesterday.
We fear today.
We fear tomorrow.
We fear because we are ignorant of the truth. We fear out of insecurities and because of our inadequacies. Instead of being afraid, we must instead do the following:
1. Be Prayerful.
2. Be Courageous.
3. Be Thankful.
4. Be Grateful.
5. Be Purposeful.
6. Be Glad regardless
7. Be Joyful.
Sometimes people take you for granted, because they do not place any value on you? They say familiarity breeds contempt? Sometimes we feel unloved, undesirable, and uncared for?
We are in situations that seem as though we are the ones giving more than we are receiving? At such times we allow fear and insecurity to grip our hearts and minds and we begin to wonder about our worth, our value and our giftedness?
We allow external forces determine our place and power? We allow others put a price and value upon our lives? Perhaps our boss feels that we do not measure up? Or it is the husband and wife situation, where the woman feels she is the only one working to keep the marriage going or the man feels the woman is just a sitting duck in the marriage?
These insecurities if not immediately checked begins to build up and soon we begin to lose our power, our peace and our place. We gradually allow fear take over our lives and this menace attacks every facet of our lives and we begin to live less than God intended and created us to live?
I know that this situation is a common occurrence in most of our lives because trouble is common to all men, we all fear something that sometimes we do not completely understand and for some reason we let spiral out of control if not immediately checked! That is why I decided to write this piece.
It happened to me. I felt that I was giving more than I was getting in many areas and for a brief moment I let this emotion wash over me until I checked myself and quickly got a firm grip of the situation. I resolved that I was not going to allow this emotion which was obviously a negative emotion get the best of me.
I immediately began to rethink who I was? I am very clear about who God made me be and I decided that no situation, no trouble, no man dead or alive would be given the power to redefine who I am. I choose who I will be as a result of who God made me originally and my studies in the word of God shows me clearly who I am.
I then began to dwell on the “WORD of GOD” about who God originally intended that I be? I am not my situation, I am not my problem, I am not what you think, I am not what they wish, oh NO! I refuse to wear the togas of this world, I refuse to be misrepresented, I reject all forms of categorizations and stigmatizations, I oppose all forms of labeling that men throw around. I am in charge here because it is my life and the only person that is allowed to name me thank God is not a mere man but the Almighty God Himself.
So I return back to my Maker to find out this simple fact?
1. Who am I Lord?
2. What is my purpose?
3. Do you love me at all?
4. How much is your love for me?
5. Do you have any kinds of plans for me?
These are the answers I found, which today I desire to share with you my friend.
1. God loves me eternally.
2. God is always thinking good about me.
3. God loved me so much that He gave his only son to die in my place.
4. God has accepted me in the beloved simply put I am a member of his Church.
5. God calls me special, beloved and peculiar.
6. God has numbered the hairs on my head.
7. God has given his angels charge over me they watch over me and ensure that I do not dash my foot upon a rock.
8. God personally watches over me, He guides and guards me every moment.
9. God has called me the apple of his eyes and he is concerned about every detail of my life, because He knows my sitting and my standing, he understands my very frame.
10. God has given me the three greatest gifts possible on planet earth, his SON, his Spirit and his Word!
11. God has perfected all that concerns me because I am a finished work that is daily unfolding, but as far as God is concerned I am a “MASTERPIECE” a masterpiece is a piece of work that has been done by a master of the craft, I am better than the greatest art work ever created! I am a wonder, a gem and a treasure. To God I am a SHINNING STAR! That is why God calls me the light in my world and the salt in my earth!
12. God calls me his beloved! His special possession, a king and a priest in this life, in fact God made me a joint heir with His Son Jesus! So I am just like Jesus is! A child of a dog is a dog! A child of a goat is a goat! A child of God is a god! A god with a little G! A god all the same!
As I basked in the knowledge of who God made me be I began to “CELEBRATE”!
What a wonderful life I’ve got! No better life than God planned for me, I do not need any one to validate me, I validate me, and I encourage myself while I continue to be the motivator and inspiration that I am! This same God is the God of us all!
So whatever you have been afraid of prior to today it is time to change the toga of fear to
1.COURAGE!
2.BOLDNESS!
3.POWER!
So instead of fear, trauma, panics and despair! STOP! STOP!! STOP!!!
Resolve instead to:
RETHINK!
REFOCUS!
RENEW!
RELEASE!
RELAX!
REJOICE!
REFIRE!
REST!
1. Rest in God’s LOVE; it never fails.
2. Rest in God’s POWER; it always works.
3. Rest in God’s FAITHFULNESS; it remains the same.
4. Rest in God’s GRACE; it is given freely.
5. Rest in God’s MERCIES; it is new every morning.
6. Rest in God’s NAME; it is a strong tower.
7. Rest in God’s WORD; it stands forever.
As you can see for us all as God’s children there is no need to fear! Fear will only dominate you if you are ignorant of your status as a son and you benefits as an heir!
Are you a child of God indeed?
If you are REJOICE!
If you are not a child of God then please! RETURN! To your lover, keeper and Maker! Just simply ask God to give you the gift of HIS son for this season, HIS name is JESUS the CHRIST!
Ask Him to come and be the LORD and SAVIOUR of your life and you too can then begin to enjoy the great and wonderful benefits of being a child of God!
Enjoy a blessed week ahead and remember this is the season of God’s grace! Christmas Season depicts the birth of our Saviour! Jesus is the reason why we are all as children of God free from all fears!
Remember that God’s thoughts towards us are thoughts of good and not of disaster to give us a future and HOPE! For we know that all things work together for good to them that love God, to them that are the called according to God’s purpose!
Finally the path of the just, the righteous is as the shining light that shines more and more to the perfect day! LIFE CAN ONLY GET BETTER!
Enjoy the beginning of the greatest days yet in your life!

RE: GOD'S WORD WORKS REGARDLESS!
GOD’S WORD WORKS REGARDLESS!
So you are feeling discouraged, perhaps you are feeling weighed down and bogged down by all of life’s challenges and troubles. You look around and see so many unpaid bills, you are indebted to banks, family and friends. Alas it has been an incredibly difficult year with all the downturn and recession in the economy? Perhaps for you, you had hoped that this year you would meet Mr. Right and Miss Right?
Have you believed God for the mountains to move and for the valleys to be filled, and it seems that nothing has changed? Well do not despair and do not cast away your confidence, God NEVER FAILS!
Regardless of our pain we will yet see GAIN!
Regardless of our troubles we will experience TRIUMPHS!
Regardless of the rain, the sun will yet SHINE AGAIN!
As they say it is darkest before day dawns and it is not over until you WIN!
So keep HOPE ALIVE
So keep REJOICING!
So keep BELIEVING!
So keep EXPECTING!
So keep TRUSTING!
God’s Word is TRUE!
God’s Word is TRUTH!
God’s Word is LIGHT!
God’s Word is POWERFUL!
God’s Word is FAITHFUL!

HOLD ON! STAY STRONG! KEEP THE FAITH!
In periods of hardship and despair these are some of the things you must do:
1. Be Prayerful.
2. Be Thankful.
3. Be Grateful.
4. Be Glad regardless.
5. Be Patient.
6. Be focused on the goal.
7. Be Confident in God’s Competence.
At times like this then you need to quit complaining and begin to focus on helping others achieve their own dreams and aspirations, realize that you are amongst the privileged few, who are richly blessed and greatly endowed.
You are:
1. SANE!
2. SOUND!
3. SECURE!
4. SAFE!
5. SUCCESSFUL!
You are amongst the the 3G Tribe! GRACED! GLORIOUS! And GREAT!
You have enjoyed God’s 9P’s in 2009! You will continue to enjoy God’s
1. Peace
2. Plans
3. Power
4. Promotions
5. Progress
6. Prosperity.
7. People.
8. Promises.
9. Pleasures.
The fact that you are alive today and in your right mind without having to deal with a terminal disease or a major crisis that is beyond you is enough reason to hilariously and continuously give thanks.
Let us focus on the good and make of no effect the ugly! Let us take out time to count our blessings one by one! I realize it can be tough and rough sometimes, I feel pain and sometimes wonder why God is not acting as quickly as I desire, but God knows best and has our lives planned out!
As we celebrate the joys of this new and great week, let us remember to give to the hopeless, the motherless and the helpless, look around and be a channel of blessings! Give what you can. It does not need to be money, give your old clothes, give a car out if you have 5, give a smile, a hug, advice, goodwill, recommend someone for that position and make the lives of those around you better, and just like God remembered Cornelius for his good deeds God will also remember you for “THE BLESSING”!

RE: FOCUS ON PRAISE!
FOCUS ON PRAISE
What is Praise?
Praise is Adulation.
Praise is lifting up someone higher, greater, bigger and better than you.
Praise is telling someone that they are important, they are powerful and they are great.
Praise can occur as a result of being blessed by another.
We praise when we feel overjoyed and overwhelmed by the great deeds of another who we adore, love and cherish.
We praise to show our gratitude, our appreciation and our love.
We praise those that are doing something worthwhile, significant, great and outstanding.
Presently in Nigeria as a nation we are praising the under 17 team especially the coach who was not know to most people until now, but who because of his feat with the under 17 team has become celebrated, popular and famous. So we praise whenever we behold greatness.
Some Nigerians are praising the Government of President Yar’ Adua for his effort with the entire amnesty programme been carried out as we speak.
We praise for different reasons and at different times. Sometimes we praise our husbands, and our wives or a lecturer might have great praise for an exceptional gifted student.
Sometime we award trophies and give awards to show those that we esteem worthy of our praise. Recently on the world stage, President Barack Obama did win the Peace Price, this is a sign of praise and a gesture to say “we like what you are doing, keep on keeping on! So praise can come in different forms and to different persons.
Praise too can be a sign of encouragement and it can also be a form of satisfaction after a good interaction.
The critical question I want us to answer today is? Who are we praising? Who do we esteem? Who do we adore? Who do we love and who are we cheering forward?
Sometimes we can focus on praising ourselves and not praising enough, those that we daily come in contact with?
Who is getting your PRAISE?
Who has kept you?
Who is keeping you?
Who is it that truly loves you?
Who will shed his innocent and costly blood for you?
Who is praying for you?
Who is fighting your battles?
Who knew you before you were born?
Who is the owner and possessor of your life?
Who will ensure that you see the end of 2009 and many many more years?
Who is your way maker and your life giver?
Who is the one that’s got you covered on all sides?
Who ensures that all your bills are paid?
Who is the one that saved you from that near death experience?
Who ensured that you remain blessed and highly favoured?
Who is He that has promised that you will live to be at least 80years on earth.
Who promised that evil will not befall you neither shall any plague come near your dwelling place?
Who is your number one fan, always loving, caring and devoted to your cause?
Who is He who has promised that your future is bright and it will become brighter and brighter unto the perfect day?
Who knows you by name and has carefully numbered the hairs on your head?
Who is He that has promised that you will not see shame or witness evil.
Who is the one that Hung on the Cross because of your sins and for the price of your redemption?
Who makes rivers in the deserts and levels your mountains while filling up your valleys?
Who made the grounds that you walk on?
Who keeps your children from harm’s way?
Who keeps your husband from the evil of evil women?
Who keeps you mind from going insane and your body from falling apart?
Who is worthy of your praise?
Who deserves your worship?
Who deserves your love?
My take is simple? Whoever keeps you deserves your PRAISE!
God Almighty, the OWNER, POSSESSOR of the entire breadth and length of the universe deserves our PRAISE!
So let us faithfully FOCUS ON PRAISING HIM, for WHO HE IS! FOR WHAT HE HAD DONE! AND FOR WHAT HE WILL YET DO!

RE: SAVE OUR CHILDREN!
Let’s Save OUR CHILDREN
I see our children on the streets of Lagos on their own, hawking, walking, and suffering.
Little children, tiny tots, wondering, helpless destinies!
Why are our children hawking?
Why are our children suffering?
Why are our children grumbling, struggling and dying?
I see their future bastardised because of such harsh exposures at such a tender age by their parents and their wards.
Why are our children molested, deflated and helpless?
Can we get them off the streets?
Can we create jobs for their parents?
Can we give hope to these helpless children?
Can we give life to these lifeless ones with sunken eyes and bleeding hearts?
Our children are wondering why their lot is so difficult and ugly.
Who will stand for their destinies?
Who will take their case and matter to the National Assembly?
Why should a 10years old be hawking water bagged in cellophane bags for 10k a piece at 10pm?
What does the poor man do in such a difficult and dangerous terrain?
Why do Nigerians steal from the public coffers and steal with such panache, stealing huge sums that cannot be explained simply to his needs?
Why is corruption so high and so endemic in our polity? Why is there youth restiveness within our National state? The simple truth is that our past governments have failed us! They have created a lopsided economic and social state that celebrates the rich and weakens the poor even in his poverty.
Have we noticed the recent increase in criminality including wide scale fraud and high profile kidnaps?
It is simply because the governments of the past have not lived up to their billings, they have refused to be responsible, accountable and reliable. Time and time again they have pillaged our economies and have plundered our resources.
People have become their own governments, business have become their own governments, because the government have refused to make available roads that work, hospitals that functions and infrastructures that can meet the great demand of the ever increasing populations of our nations.
People have had to sink their own boreholes, maintain their own strip of the road, and ensure that they generate their own power by spending humongous amounts in purchasing diesel to power their office equipment.
People have been left to pay for their extremely expensive hospital bills and even look after their aged parents while ensuring that everyone in their extended family is looked after. Some everything that the government it supposed to be doing for its citizenry has been left undone and Nigerians are saddled with responsibilities that has no bearing with their existence, of course in the business world it is the same situation, so the added costs of all of these amenities are passed unto the consumer.
So we have very difficult challenges and terrain to work through as a people. This scenario explains why Nigerians who into government steal. They want to be secure. They want to be shielded from the difficulties that the ordinary common man faces on a day to day basis. They want to give their children the best life can offer, they want to be secure and be able to jet out and enjoy the good life when ever and however they want! The fear of poverty is the beginning of corruption.
I am not making a case for the corrupt and the people who steal and impoverish the rest of us but I perfectly understand their psyche. Nigerians are a product of their environment, so people begin to cheat, steal and pillage early in life.
Parents pay examiners for their wards to cheat because they have realized that even if the wards pass examinations, at the end of the day the slots will go to the minister’s daughters and the governor’s cousins, so parents are forced to pay their way to the top for their ward and these kids grow up to understand the game of cheating, stealing and dinning at an early age. So the entire society is agog with cheats, thieves and corrupt and die hard 419ers. If only we had a caring government from the beginning?
If only the government officials realized that as human beings we are all one family of God? If only the 200million ear marked for that road construction if properly utilized for the good of all will one day save the life of one of their own relatives? If only we did not hate one another so, and distrust so and divide so?
If only we could understand the pain of a mother who did not have any food to give to her four starving children? If only we could understand the gravity of losing a whole family to the tragic death of death on our high ways. Where roads are merely death traps?
If only we could see and feel the plight of the men and women of over 60 who have to beg to eat because their pensions have been swallowed up by the system?
If only we cared for our fallen heroes? Men and women who fight with their lives for our fatherland and at the end of the day their widows are left to beg the streets for daily bread?
If only we cared? If only we loved each other as a nation genuinely and faithfully? Why should a government official have 10 cars? 20 houses and and unlimited wealth when our children are dying?
Yes they are daily dying, because all we care about is our little world of me and my wife and children alone! Yes all we understand is our fancy trips to RIO?
It is a collective problem and it requires a collective solution. We must come to the aid of the poor as a government and as a people. We must do what must BE DONE AND DO IT NOW!
Let’s save the children by saving the POOR amongst us. The only reason why a mother will send a 10year old with a tray of oranges that does not cost more than 300naira from 4pm till 10pm on the streets of Lagos to hawk is because of poverty! They are poor, lacking and dying, and it is our collective responsibility to change the situation.
We must as a people help the helpless!
We must give hope to the hopeless!
Let’s save the children! Let’s show them our love for their destinies by taking them off the streets!
Let’s not mortgage their future today because of a few kobos!
Let’s bring back happy faces, smiling faces and happy lives.
Who will save our children? Our government must take off the blinds off of their faces, and see and feel the suffering of the masses, the teeming masses!
My heart bleeds as I daily watch the charade, and see the suffering of the poor.
Only yesterday the 12th day of November as I returned from a lecture that I went to give at the School of Communications of the Pan African University, I passed a young boy not more than 11years old from his tiny and frail frame. He leaned over the side of the road, obviously tired and completed fagged out. Pitiful and crying out for help and deliverance!
It was 7.30pm Nigerian time and as I watched him I wondered what kind of a mother would send this young lad out in the night to sell a tray of oranges not worth more than 300naira?
What kind of a mother would do this? A poor mother, a tired mother, a helpless mother, an illiterate mother, who did not care of the hazards she was putting her son into, a mother who just wanted her 300 naira regardless, damning all the consequences, what if the child gets knocked down by a car? What if ritual killers lure the child to his grave? The questions are endless, but to the poor hungry, deflated and helpless mother these thoughts do not even cross her mind. Her singular thought is “SURVIVAL NOW”!
We have created a monster within our system that allows the rich to become richer and the poor to become poorer. Let us work at redressing the system.
We have allowed child abuse to thrive. We are killing innocent souls, by hardening their hearts at a tender age because of the hardships they face too early in life.
We are aborting destinies.
Let’s arise as a people and as a nation to stem this tide called “CHILD ABUSE”!
Let’s arise as a people and build a “NEW NIGERIA”
Let’s enable and empower lives by creating jobs and lets provide basic amenities like power, roads, hospitals, and good schools for the children of the common man.
Let the government wear a human face.
Let the rich who are legitimately so help the poor.
Let our religious havens deliver souls and provide SUCCOR!
If God has blessed you to help the children then support the various homeless homes within Nigeria!
Whatever you can do to make life better for the ordinary man slaving and suffering, let’s come together to make Nigeria better!
The government has a part to play! So also the people too must play their own part!
President Yar ‘Adua , Senator David Mark and Honourable Dimeji Bankole, we call on you to SAVE OUR CHILDREN!
This is a plea to all the law makers and men and women in government to help save our children by helping our mothers and our fathers. Some of them are pensioners with nothing to show for their labour and their love for their fatherland. Some are teachers, traders, artisans, farmers, men and women from all works of life, whose only predicament is their poverty. They are hardworking, humble and happy Nigerians who deserve a better deal in life.
We all CAN! We all MUST!
God bless our Children!
God bless our Governor!
God bless our President!
God bless Nigeria!

I see our children on the streets of Lagos on their own, hawking, walking, and suffering.
Little children, tiny tots, wondering, helpless destinies!
Why are our children hawking?
Why are our children suffering?
Why are our children grumbling, struggling and dying?
I see their future bastardised because of such harsh exposures at such a tender age by their parents and their wards.
Why are our children molested, deflated and helpless?
Can we get them off the streets?
Can we create jobs for their parents?
Can we give hope to these helpless children?
Can we give life to these lifeless ones with sunken eyes and bleeding hearts?
Our children are wondering why their lot is so difficult and ugly.
Who will stand for their destinies?
Who will take their case and matter to the National Assembly?
Why should a 10years old be hawking water bagged in cellophane bags for 10k a piece at 10pm?
What does the poor man do in such a difficult and dangerous terrain?
Why do Nigerians steal from the public coffers and steal with such panache, stealing huge sums that cannot be explained simply to his needs?
Why is corruption so high and so endemic in our polity? Why is there youth restiveness within our National state? The simple truth is that our past governments have failed us! They have created a lopsided economic and social state that celebrates the rich and weakens the poor even in his poverty.
Have we noticed the recent increase in criminality including wide scale fraud and high profile kidnaps?
It is simply because the governments of the past have not lived up to their billings, they have refused to be responsible, accountable and reliable. Time and time again they have pillaged our economies and have plundered our resources.
People have become their own governments, business have become their own governments, because the government have refused to make available roads that work, hospitals that functions and infrastructures that can meet the great demand of the ever increasing populations of our nations.
People have had to sink their own boreholes, maintain their own strip of the road, and ensure that they generate their own power by spending humongous amounts in purchasing diesel to power their office equipment.
People have been left to pay for their extremely expensive hospital bills and even look after their aged parents while ensuring that everyone in their extended family is looked after. Some everything that the government it supposed to be doing for its citizenry has been left undone and Nigerians are saddled with responsibilities that has no bearing with their existence, of course in the business world it is the same situation, so the added costs of all of these amenities are passed unto the consumer.
So we have very difficult challenges and terrain to work through as a people. This scenario explains why Nigerians who into government steal. They want to be secure. They want to be shielded from the difficulties that the ordinary common man faces on a day to day basis. They want to give their children the best life can offer, they want to be secure and be able to jet out and enjoy the good life when ever and however they want! RE: FOCUS ON THANKSGIVING!
FOCUS ON THANKSGIVINGS!
We have spent exactly 9months and 25days in the year 2009!
We have two months and about 6days left to the close of the end of 2009!
What a grace!
What a glorious grace, a release of God’s mercies and God’s love.
We have more to be thankful about than to complain of.
Think back to yesterday, when you were down, out, broke, discouraged, bruised and battered?
Think back to yesterday, see how far God has brought you. Today you are happy, blessed, strong, fruitful, rich, resourceful, highly favoured, healthy and whole.
On my way to Church today the 25th of October 2009, I saw a stark naked woman on the main street as I drove out of my estate, I was shocked and dazed and wondered why a human being would be out of the street stark naked on a Sunday morning whilst most people journeyed to Church to worship their maker.
My heart bled for her and I said a simple prayer of recovery and restorations for her. I also began to thank God for my life, and my sanity. Am I any better? Any smarter? Any more gifted than the stark naked woman on the street on a Sunday morning, Heavens NO! I just happen to enjoy the goodness and the grace of God, for all I am and all I will ever be is simply all the GRACE OF GOD!
We are all products of grace. God’s grace, God’s blessings, and God’s love!
Let us thank God always for life, peace, joy, sanity, power, pleasures, health, purpose, our giftings and our abilities, our yesterdays, our todays and our tomorrows!
Remember those you started with in life, today as we write, some are dead, some diseased, some forgotten in obscurity, and some have lost hope and joy of living, but here you are able to stand, sing, dance, laugh, smile, eat, work, and live an independent and purposefully fulfilling life! We are able to live our lives the way we want to at our own time and at our own pace!
We call the shots at our own work places, we are top of our class, and the best in our fields of endeavours. We live as kings and queens in our worlds.
We are champions, Victors, and Conquerors of this life. We are living LIFE sometimes larger than ourselves!
We are not carried about begging, we are not assisted to the bathroom, diseased and assisted to knot our ties, we do not need special aid and special diets, we are not on any weird medications that we have to take at specific times just to stay alive.
We do not need handouts from life!
We are strong mentally, socially, financially, and materially.
We are happy. We are blessed and yet we do not see, we do not understand that it is all by God’s grace.
It’s all been the work of GRACE! The work of God! If we recall we were not the brightest in our classes, neither were we the best in our families, yet today we are celebrities, stars, icons and role models that others strive to be like.
Back to my earlier story of today, as I drove past the mentally challenged woman after praying for her for deliverance and recovery, I began to thank God for my life, my beauty, my intelligence, my numerous and wonderful friends scattered all over the world, my family, my abilities, my gifting, my stable lifestyle, my sanity, my essence, my books written and yet to be written, my song writing ability and my ability to communicate effectively.
I thanked God that I was clothed in a beautiful attire , and I thanked God for my present situation and my future.
I realize that I have not yet arrived, but I know that I am not where I used to be. I am improving daily, maturing and getting better every day.
I know I am like fine wine the more my years increase the more accomplished, the more blessed and favoured I will become.
I realize that the journey ahead of me is yet long and to win in this journey called life I must cultivate the attitude of gratitude, and always be thankful.
So today I want us both to spend the entire coming week in great and glorious thanksgiving. I want to advice a simple and wonderful exercise, actually two exercises, the first is that you should take time to write out all the things you can do all by yourself including all your gifting and abilities.
Yes my friend write it all down. It seems a childish exercise to participate in but when you are done you will see the reasons why you need to be grateful and thankful for your precious life.
Yes your life is precious, you are multi-talented, and very well endowed. The second exercise is simple too, just take time to write down all the good things that God has done for you.
These two exercises are very insightful and rewarding because it will help you see the goodness and grace of God even the more. Let’s spend the remaining days in October thanking God continually. Give thanks for the good and not so good!
Count your blessings name them one by one, thank God continually. Thank God for journey mercies, everyday across many seas many roads and may air journeys.
Thank God that you are not a terminally ill person. Thank God that you are not locked up for a crime you know nothing of. Thank God for the big stuff and for all the little things. Thank God for yesterday, today and for the future.
Thank God for the goodness and greatness of God upon your life.
Let’s cultivate the heart of gratitude. A heart of gratitude gives God honour, pleasure and makes our hearts to be tender towards God thereby aiding our ability to effectively communicate with God.
Be thankful! Be grateful. We are all products of God’s goodness, God’s grace and God’s glory!

FOCUS ON YOUR EXPECTATIONS NOT ON YOUR PROBLEMS!
The great book says, “BE ANXIOUS FOR NOTHING, BUT IN EVERYTHING BY PRAYER AND SUPPLICATION MAKE YOUR REQUESTS KNOWN TO GOD”!
My piece for this week is simply admonishing us to REFOCUS! Yes REFOCUS! Take the focus from you to others and from your problems to the SOLUTIONS in the form of your expectations in God!
Instead of focusing on our problems, our troubles and our fears let us spend time PRAYING for GOD’s help and comfort.
Write down every problem presently facing you and spend time looking through the WORD OF GOD for the SOLUTIONS!
Are you down and helpless, read Isaiah 41:10/11
Are you poor and wanting, read Psalm 23, 84:11/12
Are you in need of guidance, read Psalm 32:8
Are you sick, afflicted and tormented by disease, read Isaiah 53:1/5, Jeremiah 30:17
Are you in need of comfort, read Isaiah 40:1
Are you desirous of been established and prosperous, read 2Chronicles 20:20B, and Joshua 1:8
Are you anxious, terrified and afraid, read Philippians 4:6/8 and Isaiah 54:14

We are sons and daughters of the great God, just as God saw the crisis that loomed at Him at the beginning, God did not panic, he merely restrategized and spoke forth, “He said, let there be light and light was”!
We too must ACT just like our God by taking charge and taking control of the present situation, because if you are defeated in your thoughts then you are defeated already! We must FOCUS on our EXPECTATIONS IN GOD by believing and DECLARING the WORD of God regardless of what we feel and see! It is time to REFOCUS our energies on the SOLUTIONS and not on the problem.
The problem we face is a good avenue for God to prove his greatness and glory in our lives.
The Word of God promises that God will crown our year with goodness and God has made everything beautiful in this time.
This is your DAY of CHANGE!
This is your opportunity for a LIFTING!
Your day of GRACE is TODAY and your season of Glory has finally come!
The great book commands the weak to say “ I am Strong, and the poor to say I am rich”!
You are not your situation!
You are not your condition!
You are blessed and highly favoured.
You are the head and not the tail, above and never beneath!
As from TODAY and the remaining days of your life;
Choose to see SOLUTIONS!
Choose to see OPPORTUNITIES!
Choose to See VICTORIES!
Choose to See BREAKTHROUGHS!
Choose to See God’s HANDS and God’s FACE!
See God’s abilities working in your life and destiny bringing about the needed CHANGE!
Do not fear! Fear!
Do not allow worries, anxieties and harassments to tear you apart!
Instead REFOCUS your energies to PRAY and profess your way out of the situation.
Do not stop praying until you see positive changes! Use your mouth to recreate your world!
You are not down, you are up!
You are not poor, you are rich!
You are not sick, you are well!
You are not despised; you are loved, cherished and valuable.
You are not alone; you are surrounded by lovers, family members and great and wonderful friends.
You are not foolish, and irrelevant, No! No! No! You are treasure, valuable, a gem and a national treasure!
You are not what they say, you are not what they wish, you are not what they desire, you are what God created, ordained and carefully planned out!
You are not a mistake, a face and a mere phase, you are incredible, beautiful, wonderful and highly sought after from coast to coast, men and women seek you out for your wisdom, intelligence and special skills that is synonymous to only you!
You are not alone, God loves you, guards and protects you, angels watch over you every step and they ensure that no evil befalls you.
STOP focusing on the problems, START focusing on the SOLUTIONS!
There is a solution to every problem in the WORD OF GOD! Just because you cannot see the solution does not mean there is no solution! God is God and good regardless of our peculiar problems, if you presently are faced with any problem right now, you are in it because you can handle it because God will not give us more than we can take per time.
Inside our troubles lie our TRIUMPHS!
Inside our tests lie our TESTIMONIES!
Inside our confusions lie our DIRECTIONS!
The WORD of God is the POWER OF GOD! Get a strong grip and hold of the Word of God today and begin to read, meditate and declare the Word of God over your situation, and soon the Word will over run and over take your problem soon you will begin to see what you say!
Speak what you believe and not what you see or feel. Through out the remaining days of this month of October FOCUS ON your POSITIVE EXPECTATIONS and not on the problems you face!
Imagine the possibilities.
Imagine a new you with a new hope and a new song!
See yourself accomplishing, reaching and excelling!
See open doors everywhere, people are looking for you for great and amazing opportunities so they can partner with you. People want to bless you and help you, because you are the light of the world, a city set on a hill and you cannot be hid.
You are solutions to man’s myriads of problems, YES! You are the solution!
You are somebody’s joy!
You are somebody’s delight!
You are somebody’s light!
You are somebody’s song!
You are somebody’s dance!
You are a gem, a treasure and a STAR!
You are winning, because you are wise and winsome!
Ask yourself today, “What good can I do”?
What gifts and talents can I deplore at this point of my life’s journey?
How can you use your gifts and talents for the benefits and development of humanity?
Who can you bless?
Who can you positively impact, impart and influence?
What is the message you can make out of your mess?
What victories have you recorded that you can use to solve the problems of those in the same quagmire, you were in last year?
Can you be a light?
Can you give love to the loveless?
Can you give hope to the hopeless?
Can you feed a hungry soul, both materially and spiritually?
Can you fund that special project that will give succor to thousands?
Can you offset that debt that your brother is carrying that is a great burden to him but that is small change to your income?
What good can you do?
Whose destiny can you positively change today?
It is TIME to STOP focusing on me! ME! And I!
Let’s celebrate the goodness of God upon our lives, we are too blessed to complain and we are too blessed to keep the spotlight on just us! Let’s destroy the me and me mentality and think what can I give for once rather than what can I take and who can I take from.
STOP focusing on what you do not have, rather START to take INVENTORY of all your great and massive blessings! Being alive, been sane, been strong, vital and able to make your own bed is no mean blessings, not to talk of the millions we all have in our bank accounts and of course the many cars packed in our garages and the new clothes and shoes and bags we have and the state of the art gadgets we buy every time we fly to Dubai and all the exotic places we visit every time opportunity presents itself?
Let’s STOP complaining, whining, and grumbling, we ought to be thankful, grateful and give more of ourselves to others for it is better to give than to receive!

We must FOCUS on our EXPECTATIONS IN GOD by believing and DECLARING the WORD of God regardless of what we feel and see! It is time to REFOCUS our energies on the SOLUTIONS and not on the problem.
The problem we face is a good avenue for God to prove his greatness and glory in our lives.
The Word of God promises that God will crown our year with goodness and God has made everything beautiful in this time.
This is your DAY of CHANGE!
This is your opportunity for a LIFTING!
Your day of GRACE is TODAY and your season of Glory has finally come!
The great book commands the weak to say “ I am Strong, and the poor to say I am rich”!
You are not your situation!
You are not your condition!
You are blessed and highly favoured.
You are the head and not the tail, above and never beneath!

You are not a mistake, a face and a mere phase, you are incredible, beautiful, wonderful and highly sought after from coast to coast, men and women seek you out for your wisdom, intelligence and special skills that is synonymous to only you!
You are not alone, God loves you, guards and protects you, angels watch over you every step and they ensure that no evil befalls you.
STOP focusing on the problems, START focusing on the SOLUTIONS!
There is a solution to every problem in the WORD OF GOD! Just because you cannot see the solution does not mean there is no solution! God is God and good regardless of our peculiar problems, if you presently are faced with any problem right now, you are in it because you can handle it because God will not give us more than we can take per time.
Inside our troubles lie our TRIUMPHS!
Inside our tests lie our TESTIMONIES!
Inside our confusions lie our DIRECTIONS!
The WORD of God is the POWER OF GOD! Get a strong grip and hold of the Word of God today and begin to read, meditate and declare the Word of God over your situation, and soon the Word will over run and over take your problem soon you will begin to see what you say!
Speak what you believe and not what you see or feel. Through out the remaining days of this month of October FOCUS ON your POSITIVE EXPECTATIONS and not on the problems you face!
Imagine the possibilities.
Imagine a new you with a new hope and a new song!
See yourself accomplishing, reaching and excelling!
See open doors everywhere, people are looking for you for great and amazing opportunities so they can partner with you. People want to bless you and help you, because you are the light of the world, a city set on a hill and you cannot be hid.
You are solutions to man’s myriads of problems, YES! You are the solution!
You are somebody’s joy!
You are somebody’s delight!
You are somebody’s light!
You are somebody’s song!
You are somebody’s dance!
You are a gem, a treasure and a STAR!
You are winning, because you are wise and winsome!
Ask yourself today, “What good can I do”?
What gifts and talents can I deplore at this point of my life’s journey?
How can you use your gifts and talents for the benefits and development of humanity?
Who can you bless?
Who can you positively impact, impart and influence?
What is the message you can make out of your mess?
What victories have you recorded that you can use to solve the problems of those in the same quagmire, you were in last year?
Can you be a light?
Can you give love to the loveless?
Can you give hope to the hopeless?
Can you feed a hungry soul, both materially and spiritually?
Can you fund that special project that will give succor to thousands?
Can you offset that debt that your brother is carrying that is a great burden to him but that is small change to your income?
What good can you do?
Whose destiny can you positively change today?
It is TIME to STOP focusing on me! ME! And I!
Let’s celebrate the goodness of God upon our lives, we are too blessed to complain and we are too blessed to keep the spotlight on just us! Let’s destroy the me and me mentality and think what can I give for once rather than what can I take and who can I take from.
STOP focusing on what you do not have, rather START to take INVENTORY of all your great and massive blessings! Being alive, been sane, been strong, vital and able to make your own bed is no mean blessings, not to talk of the millions we all have in our bank accounts and of course the many cars packed in our garages and the new clothes and shoes and bags we have and the state of the art gadgets we buy every time we fly to Dubai and all the exotic places we visit every time opportunity presents itself?
Let’s STOP complaining, whining, and grumbling, we ought to be thankful, grateful and give more of ourselves to others for it is better to give than to receive!

GANI! We thank you for being a giant within our political landscape.

Did you realize that as a child of God; you are a special, rare breed, and an ambassador here on earth?
Did you realize, that you are not of this world, you live here but have a higher life that is energized and regulated from above, so you cannot be disadvantaged but rather you live the Advantage, called "The BLESSED LIFE"
Did you realize that you are Royal priesthood, a holy nation, a chosen generation, a peculiar people.
Did you realize that you are a child of the KING! The owner, possessor of the heavens and the earth!
As a CHILD of the king, that makes you a PRINCE/PRINCESS; it means that royal blood flows through your veins just like Prince Charles and his two sons, Andrew and his brother.
As a royal you do not behave like a commoner, you must ACT, SPEAK and BEHAVE differently from everybody else.
Your Father is God; He owns the world and controls all the peoples of the earth. He is the governor over all the nations and all kings and queens must pay allegiance to God their king and maker, irrespective of lineage and kingdom all must bow to God whether willingly or unwilling remember King Nebuchadnezzar of the Bible.
As a prince/princess of God the most HIGH, you must not act like the world is acting, because you come from a different world, you must not dance to the tune and dictates of this world because this world is perishing and will ultimately perish!

INCREDIBLE!
You Can do all things because Christ strengthens you; you care dare where others fear, you can soar where others crawl, you can succeed where others fail! It is your birthright, it is your unique way, it is the advantage of being the SON of the KING of all the earth!
The Lord of Hosts always has your back! He goes before you and makes the crooked paths straight, He fights for you and defends your righteous cause. Greater is He that is in you than he that is in the world.
Your life is mapped out and planned for; you are not a face, a phase or merely a statistics.
God defends you daily.
God knows your name and He understands your frame and your frailties.
God watches over you like a mother hen and He protects and shields you every hour, every day, and every moment.

Be grateful for your life, the fact that you are 20, 30, 40,and perhaps 50! And above all that you will be amongst the most blessed few, who will reach 100 and above!

Be grateful for the family you have, your lovely wife/husband, and wonderful kids, the angry in-law that makes you pray more especially daily!

Be grateful that you are not a victim of a bomb blast, a war thorn zone, and a tsunami. Be grateful that you not cut down, cut off and brought down in your prime when ,life’s best is just unfolding.
Yes be grateful.
Be grateful that you are well educated, greatly celebrated, well connected, greatly endowed, yes be grateful you can afford life’s luxuries , and you do not need to beg to eat and queue on a long line waiting for a handout from life,
Yes be grateful.
Be grateful that you are loved by most, honoured by some and cherished by most, yes be grateful that you live a decent, demanding and delightful life that allows you to always be your best and to always do your best.

Be grateful for the troubles too, the trials that life brings, the bad days, the awful weather, all these help you pray more, trust more and believe more. What will it profit a man if he gains the whole world and ultimately loses his precious soul! Yes be grateful the troubles makes you tougher, wiser and better equipped to face life’s greater challenges and responsibilities.

LESSONS FROM THE BANK DRAMA!
I was driving home that day Friday the 14th of August 2009, when I heard on the radio the sad news of the banks chiefs who had been unceremoniously removed, it came like a bolt of lightning to me and I am still reeling from the great shock especially because of the personalities involved especially Dr Erastus Akingbola nd the great amazon of banking Mrs Cecilia Ibru!
I kept muttering to myself and wondering what had happened and why they were treated so after spending many years working to build a brand that has come to become not just household names but super brands that was beginning to command international recognition.
Already a lot of speculations and comments are flying regarding the bank tsunami and I there say that I hear reliably that most of the banks are down with one fever or the other, so why examine just five and dismiss their chiefs and boards?
The Central Bank Governor only just took up the mantle of leadership why act so hastily because at the end of the day the whole exercise he will only help to destabilize the frail and unwell Nigerian Economy.
We all know there is a global melt down and every area and facet of business has been negatively affected, even in America, where banks were failing everyday, the government chose to bail out a lot of the ailing companies rather than sack the helmsman of these big companies.
I just really feel pained by the whole banking saga and my heart goes to the five chiefs involved; now my reason for writing this piece is not about the reasons for the removal of these bank chiefs but rather the lessons to learn from the whole event!For me life is always about learning for to grow, and prosper you must continue to learn, we are to learn from other’s missed steps, from nature, from our different environments a, from our worlds, from ourselves, and from Our God and Maker.
Like I said this is a personal sentiment because I do not have the facts and figures on hand so, I cannot write as an authority about what happened?, detailing who is right and who is wrong?
I am only looking deeply and closely about the human angle and only trying to reiterate the wisdom of God from the situation.
These are some of the lessons that I have seen from the banking saga.
Lesson No. 1
Nothing lasts forever. Life is about changes and change is the only constant thing in life.
Lesson No. 2.
No man is indispensable, everyone will have their time and their say, so while you are at the top of your game and the greatest in your field, remember to do good to all as much as you can because life can twist and turn and you never know what will happen next, who would have thought that ,five top bank chiefs will lose their jobs in one day! That is a national tsunami!
Lesson No. 3
Things do not always appear as them seem and they do not always seem as they appear.
Lesson No. 4
Life always give to each man his day of trouble, so you must be prepared for tests, trials and some temptations and some dose of tribulation, so be PRAYERFUL, PURPOSEFUL and PREPARED always!
Lesson No. 5
Act fast! Do not keep procrastinating and post phoning, opportunity can be here today and gone tomorrow.
Lesson No. 6
Your office, your position, your status and even wealth all can disappear in a flash so learn to diversify and not just put all your eggs in one basket. Also life might take all you have in terms of material and financial wealth, but it cannot take your knowledge, neither can it take away your memorable experiences.
Lesson No. 7
Do not just focus on work! Work! Work! Learn to build great and wonderful relationships on your way to the top, because you might need these people on your way down, as a leader don’t be high handed and unapproachable only concerned about the bottom line and the the naira and kobo only, people matter, they can make or mar you.
Lesson No. 8.
Tsunamis don’t only come in the form of earthquakes, you can also suffer emotional trauma that can be rightly described as a tsunami. Some situations can happen that affect every area and facet of our lives and we must be grounded in God and fortified by Him so that our crisis can be seen as an opportunity to try again and to do better next time.
Lesson No. 9
Not all that glitters is gold! Do not choose a career based on just the financials alone. Most bankers will be uneasy, fretful and worry, with the present examinations that the CBN is carrying out because most banks in order to be viable and profitable so that they are not axed will begin to cut off those that are weak and unproductive on their jobs and they will go all out to recruit the best hands In the country.Some years ago a lot of young Nigerians would die just to be a banker, today the tide has changed and the story is different, which is why I have always been an advocate of following of hearts, fulfilling our God given purposes and living out our passions as our jobs rather than choose jobs that seemingly looks like the in thing to do and be? We must shun materialism and crass living which stems from a love of money that has bedeviled our leaders and our youths of today. The average Nigerian wants to be rich overnight, wants to drive a hummer jeep and wear a Gucci watch and live in banana island? The love of money is the root of all evil, if you love money and you get greedy then you will be prepared to go to any length to get money and live a lie for a life.
Lesson No. 10.
Great men come and great men go, the TRUTH lives forever, even facts can be tampered with and altered, but you can do nothing about the Truth. It remains what it always was the truth!
Lesson No. 11
Better a rough and horrible start and a wonderful and great end than a great beginning and a horrible and terrible end.
Lesson No. 12.
Life is dynamic. Change is inevitable. Life is transient. People change. Places change. GOD ALONE should be relied upon, trusted and worshipped.
I want us to ponder on these questions as we come to the end of this piece,
1. What do we hold dear? What do we treasure?
2. What will we die for?
3. What will we live for?
4. Are we only concerned about the bottom line?
5. Are we only moved by the numbers?
6. What about tomorrow?
7. What about our legacy?
8. What about posterity?
9. What about our children?
10. What about the place called there?
11. What about your real self, the true you that only you know and understand?
12. What about the finished work of Christ on the Cross of Calvary?
Dr. Myles Munroe an international speaker, author and prophet did prophecy that in this year 2009! Everything that can be shaken will be shaken, and true to his word, everything is been shaken, and only the grounded and strong will survive these times!
My admonition is that we;
1.Rebuild our lives, by rebuilding our foundations, it is okay to point the finger, but in us all is a seed of bad, that if not cut off can ruin our lives, it is time to amend our ways, a lot of us wear the toga of righteousness but our righteousness is pseudo, if judgment, can come so suddenly from the duo of President Yar A dua and the CBN Chief, how much more gory and scary will the judgment of God be? God is good! God is merciful. God is faithful. God is also just and will one day judge us all for all our doings. Lets live with the benefit of insight for hindsight and let us clean up our lives and be a good representative of our GOD, our Maker! When we are good as a people our nation becomes good too, because a nation is really just it’s people!
2.Let us that call on the name of God depart from iniquity and shun everything that is evil, diabolical and ungodly, let us instead imbibe, the virtues of hardwork, honesty, integrity, dedication, and commitment to worthy causes!
3.Let us realize that life is a learning center and a training ground, the banking tsunami that has hit our polity and our Nation is a great food for thought!
