Dreams are hopes, aspirations, and expectations usually ofthe future.
They are usually first beyond our reach, but by working atit over time we are helped by providence to achieve our aspirations.
Dreams
can come from us, from our environment and from theGod Almighty.
Dreams are usually givenin the form of inspiration, insight and can come
while sleeping in the night orduring the day as a result of a whiff of
inspiration.
Dreams are usually bigger than us initially and it requiresthe participation of loved ones, friends, families and other colleagues andassociates.
We have dream stealers, and dream killers. It is important that we protect and preserveour dreams. The story of Joseph is aclassic case that even family members can work at destroying not just the dreambut the dreamer. God was the one thatprotected and preserved Joseph from his evil and envious brothers because heshared with them what God has showed him of his future.
Dream killers, and stealers do not necessarily have to comein the form of human beings. The environment, your place of abode may actuallystand as stumbling block to the conceiving and birthing of a dream.
A fish cannot thrive out of water, an eagle bird cannot ruleamongst chickens on the ground, a snake needs the ground to crawl in, it cannotfly neither can it swim. A horse needsthe dust to ride on and so also we all need definite environments for ourdreams to thrive and come to fruition.
For our dreams to materialize we need to cultivate the rightmental attitude, attitudes like hard work, dedication, commitment, tenacity, doggedness, and courage not forgetting integrity and a spirit of excellence areall necessary for the fulfillments of our laudable dreams.
We also need the right relationships in place, as we cannotafford any caustic and eroding relationship around us because these kinds ofrelationships only move us backward and stall the manifestation of our hopes, aspirations and dreams. We needrelationships that stimulate growth, that challenge us to dream bigger and dogreater exploits. We need a closely knitted family unit that will stand with usand by us through thick and thin and also caucuses of friends that help usthink clearly and act boldly, for our dreams to see the light of day.
We also need the right spiritual environment and leadershipbecause you ultimately become the son of whom you listen to, so it is importantthat we choose carefully who we allow speak into our lives, because thespiritual dominantly controls the physical. We need to be in a dynamicallyvibrant and progressive place of worship and have a leader with a heart and agood head. This kind of spiritualenvironment helps moisten our creative juices and allows us to dream and hopegreatly in God and in ourselves too.
It is important to note that whatever is worth its salt isworth paying for, so be prepared for the enemy of your dreams by waging amental war against anything and anyone that wants to steal or destroy yourdreams, for he who can destroy your dream has been given the power to alsodestroy you the dreamer.
It is the fight our lives, we must be prepared to fight andwin. David one of my most favourite Bible Characters decided to take on Goliathwhen he learnt of the prize to be given to any who was able to cut down thechallenger, he became bold in His God and took courage in the power of His kingand he moved forward and destroyed the challenger and became a hero from zero.
This is the stuff dreams are made of. We can be the enemies of our dreams. We can do this through laziness, procrastination, worry, fear, confusions and delusions. All these only paralyze us, and knock us outbefore the fight, and we must win the war of self and become strongly resolvedto be all that God created us to be by the grace and power of God Almighty.
Our dreams hold the seed of our future; they fulfill ourdeepest and greatest desires. Our dreams hold the power of our wealth, and ensureour legacy whilst guaranteeing our fame.
We must ensure by resolving physically, spiritually, mentally that we give it the fight of our lives. We must have a dream to livefor and die for and we must work diligently at making sure that our dreamsbecome our realities. There are
1. Wemust keep the dream alive.
2. Wemust work the dream.
3. Wemust birth the dream.
4. Wemust nurture the dream.
5. Wemust protect the dream.
6. Wemust promote the dream.
7. Wemust preserve the dream.
Finally our dreams must be God centered and God given anddriven. If our dreams are merelyambitions and self centered then we cannot guarantee it’s becoming long lastingand enduring. For our dreams to leave alasting legacy we must get then enshrined in God. God is the only entity that lasts forever, and so to leave that mark in the sands of time as a result of the birthing andpromoting of our dreams we must allow God to guide and lead always.
Let us fight for our dreams and give life the greatest andbest by leaving marks and legacies whilst others merely imagine and faint!
It’s our time!
It’s our turn!
It’s our day, to shine like the stars that we are!
Our dreams make usshine!
