KEEP DIGGING YOUR WELLS!!! MIND YOUR OWN BUSINESS.
Note: this write up was inspired by the story of ISAAC IN GENESIS 26:18-22 who GOD commanded to stay in the country where he was residing because Isaac was contemplating moving to another country to escape the famine in the land and he thought that by changing location the famine would disappear but sometimes we face situations that we must CONQUER and not merely escape!!
So Isaac chose to stay put in GERAR, and he began to do what he knew to do well, I believe part of it was farming but to farm successfully I believe that you needed your own portion of the land and constant supply of water which necessitated his need to DIG a well. Unfortunately, each time he dug a well, the country men of the nation he resided in, would just come and forcibly take over his well, Isaac was been oppressed and been abused by these group of wicked men, but what was ISAAC’S RESPONSE, he just kept digging the wells, each time he dug and they took it away, he would find another piece of land and begin digging?
Why would you say?
1. He was skilled at digging the wells so he knew all the enemy could take was the well, they could not take his power, his ability, his strength, his focus and his purpose.
2. He heard GOD say to him, STAY IN THE LAND, SO HE KNEW HE COULD NOT STAY IDLE, HE HAD TO GET BUSY AND WATCH GOD PROSPER HIS WAY, HIS PATH AND HIS VENTURE.
3. HE WAS A DETERMINED, RESOLUTE, FOCUSED AND PURPOSEFUL MAN, WHO NEVER GAVE UP NOR QUIT WHEN HE WAS HARDEST HIT.
4. He knew the GOD of ABRAHAM was HIS GOD too and that GOD would always make a way for him where there seemed to be no way if only he would efficiently and effectively play his part to the best of his ability by the grace of GOD ALMIGHTY.
5. He knew that winners never quit and quitters never win, so he refused to shift ground, and he stood his ground resolutely and took his present difficulty as a CHALLENGE THAT HE NEEDED TO SURMOUNT. AND HE DID.
Keep digging wells I would then say to you. What are wells in this context? Wells are places of water. When you dig a well!! You are looking for water.
Water as you know, refreshes, renews and strengthens while giving LIFE. You need water for all of life and without water there would be no water, so you need to keep digging wells for every well successfully dug to a particular point would strike water, it’s just like fishing and digging for gold, or a precious gem.
Water gives life to the things that we plant and without water we cannot expect a harvest, because a time of famine usually means that the rains which come from heaven have refused to fall, and to survive such times you must look for the alternative of rain which is water that stems from the grounds that have been dug by a dedicated and committed hard worker.
Your harvest is tied to you the waters you find when you dig your wells in the time of famine when the rains refuse to fall.
In today’s contemporary times our wells can mean our businesses, our investments and our NGO’S and anything we choose to do that can sustain our life and maintain our lot by the help and direction of the Almighty GOD because GOD is the one that gives us the grace to have the strength and wherewithal to not only locate those wells but dig them to the point of finding water.
Perhaps your business is no longer thriving? Or your company is about to file for bankruptcy ,or your corporate competitors have not allowed you breath since you started your company and you at the point of giving up and throwing in the towel, or that company boss is giving you the worst time of your life because you have chosen to be law abiding and a good citizen who is morally sound and of good integrity so everyday he frustrates you and call your good works, weak and your successes failures well, well well!!! Welcome to ISAAC’S STRATEGY FOR CORPORATE SUCCESS. Your key to succeeding at such times in your life is NEVER to stop digging the wells.
Determine to keep on digging regardless of the opposition and the stress, for the man who never quits always wins.
Sometime we might have to change our location, or our strategy but we must always keep the big goals and big picture and vision in view and give it all our focus and strength to see to it that we make it to the finished line and reach our big goal as first set by us when we began the journey of success.
Life is fraught with difficult times sometimes and to forge ahead you must determine to courageously take on the giants, the lions, the fires, the stormy seas and whatever else stands in you path of peace, power and prosperity.
I say that even in the face of adversity you can advance your prosperity!!! Nothing shall be impossible to him that believes and everything is possible to him that believes!!!
It’s important that when we face massive opposition, we keep the goals and the vision in view and keep at our task and goals, every day harping at it, giving it all our very best, allowing for no distractions and making nonsense of the mundane and the trivial knowing full well that the crown is usually reserved for he that starts and finishes and not just for any odd person.
We must locate our wells, and find the relevant tools to dig the wells for it is in continually digging and digging and digging that we find our reward, water, gold, and whatever else is precious that we are working at to achieve. We are closer than when we first began and we are too far gone to look back now or to throw in the towel and quit??? Or NO!! GOD in heaven FORBID.
In this well digging business which I call minding your own business whatever that might be; some begin well but never finish. Some begin badly and finish well, and others start well and finish well. Regardless of the group you fall into, today you can choose to adjust and make amends with the great help of our great GOD for there is nothing beyond his power and control.
He is the Alpha and the Omega and you can call HIM into your life and business today to correct any anomaly present in your circumstance so that at the end of this great year you can have not just a well to show but an array of wells/businesses for those who are entrepreneurs and for those who are working in an organization then promotions into greater positions of power and honour. It’s POSSIBLE!!!
Attributes you need to dig your well/mind your business.
1. Deep sense of purpose.
2. Sustained focus.
3. Determination.
4. Courage.
5. Faith.
6. Commitment.
7. Right tools.
8. Right relations.
9. Trust in the almightiness of GOD.
10. Prayer and praise with a heart of gratitude to GOD always.
Choose to dig and win.
Choose to dig and reign.
Choose to dig and flourish.
You are closer than when you first began.
